DHA can be entered through two main roads: Ghazi Road which is an important traffic artery that connects Ferozepur Road to Ring Road, and Walton Road which connects Ferozepur Road to Lahore Cantt. Other than these, DHA Phase-1 can easily be accessed through connecting roads from DHA Phase-2 and DHA Phase-3.

DHA Phase-2 and Phase-3 and Phase-4 are right next door and other phases of DHA are a short 10–15-minute drive away. Lahore Cantt. is also easily accessible through a brief 10–15-minute drive.

Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is only a short 5-minute drive away in nearby DHA Phase-5. Other universities are also present nearby and Ferozepur Road which is a 10–15-minute drive away also has many university campuses.
DHA Phase-1 has many good schools and there are several more schools that can be found in nearby phases of DHA also. Some famous schools are Lahore Grammar School (LGS) Girls Campus, Lahore Alma and American Lycetuff.
For recreation, DHA Phase-1 has multiple parks. Nearby DHA phases also have many parks with famous Sheeba Park located in DHA Phase-3. DHA cinema is located nearby in DHA Phase-2 and DHA in general has a vibrant nightlife. Several clubs, snooker houses, playing grounds and gyms are available for residents in DHA Phase-1 alone with additional options available in other DHA phases as well.
DHA Phase-1 is famous for its F Block and H block markets where many famous shopping chains, stores and eateries are found. Nearby other phases of DHA also have many shopping chains and restaurants such as the famous Y-block market in DHA Phase-3. Packages Mall, a famous mall of Lahore is only a 10–15-minute drive away.
DHA Phase-1 has many clinics and nearby National Hospital and Aadil Hospital are available also. Other phases of DHA also offer additional treatment facilities.
DHA Phase-1 has branches from nearly all major banks including Habib Bank, Alfalah Bank, Soneri Bank and Meezan Bank to name just a few.
DHA Phase-1 is right next to Ring Road at approx. 4 km distance, approx. 8 km from Allama Iqbal International Airport (around 10-minute drive), about 2-4 km from LUMS and some 7-8 km from Packages Mall (10-minute drive).

DHA Phase-1 is well-developed society with some of the best facilities and amenities in the city. It primarily caters to upper class and upper-middle class socioeconomic groups.
