Al-Kabir Town does not have any major shopping stores or restaurant chains, but smaller shops selling groceries and essentials are available. Many famous shopping chains such as Jalal Sons and Al-Fatah have outlets in nearby Lake City at a distance of 3-5 km or 10-minute drive along with many famous eateries and restaurant chains. Bahria Orchard at a distance of less than 10 km or 15-minute drive also sports some restaurants and medium sized shopping stores. Both Lake City and Bahria Orchards have cinemas and zoos as well.
Al-Kabir Town does not have any hospital. Nearby Bahria Orchards however hosts a good hospital called Begum Akhtar Rukhsana Memorial Hospital. Al-Kabir Town has a branch of Bank of Punjab (Taqwa Islamic Banking). Nearby Lake City and Bahria Orchards have branches from many major banks. Al-Kabir Town is about 7 km from Ring Road, approx. 40 km from Allama Iqbal International Airport, about 17-20 km from Johar Town and Emporium Mall, one of the largest shopping malls of Lahore and about 15 km from Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
Al-Kabir Town mostly has plots in the 3-5 marla range. Therefore, it will mostly host people of lower middle class socioeconomic background.
