Malik Riaz is a real estate tycoon whose name is most well-known in
Pakistan because of its association to the Bahria Town housing
societies that have spread all over the country. Malik Riaz can be
described as the pioneer of the gated community model for housing
development where all amenities residents of a housing society need
are provided in the community. In addition to various Bahria schemes
such as Bahria Town and Bahria Orchard, Malik Riaz is also known for
his political connections and philanthropic activities as well as his
legal troubles.

Raiwind Road. Raiwind Road is a major traffic artery that goes through

societies located on it and connects Adda Plot in Raiwind to Sundar
Industrial Estate where many important industries are located.SurroundingsThere are several societies close by such as Lake City, Chinar Bagh
and Al-Kabir Town.Area Livability Nur International University is located right in Bahria Orchard on
Raiwind Road in Phase-1 of the society. Beaconhouse National
University (BNU) is located close to Adda Plot, Raiwind Road at a
distance of about 10 km, around a 15-minute drive. Superior University
of Lahore is also close to it, at a distance of less than 7 km on
Raiwind Road, at a drive of about 10 minutes. Sharif Medical City is
located at a distance of 5 km with a drive of around 10 minutes.

Bahria Orchard has good schools like Kings House School and Bahria Town School and College. Several schools are located at a distance of about 5 kilometers in Chinar Bagh especially International Schools such as Ausbridge International School, LAPS (London Academic Plan School) and Hidaya International School at about a 10-minute drive.
Bahria Orchard has parks in every block for recreation, and it has a cinema and a zoo as well for the purpose. Nearby Lake City also has several parks, a cinema, zoo and golf course, located at a distance of about 7-12 kms, an approx. 15-minute drive.
Bahria Orchard has some decent sized shops but no big-name brands.
Nearby Lake City however boasts a lot of shopping outlets and even a
shopping mall at about a distance of 7-12 km or a 15-minute drive.
Bahria Orchard has some decent restaurants and nearby Lake City has
many big-name brands like Gloria Jeans, Daily Deli and NY212
Pizza.
Bahria Orchard has a good hospital located within the society which goes by the name Begum Akhtar Rukhsana Memorial Hospital.
