Park View City Islamabad residents slammed with development charges

Residents of Park View City in Islamabad have protested against the levying of development charges by the developers. Residents claim that these charges are fraudulent, as they were reassured by the developers that all charges will be included in the installments paid for the plots. Furthermore, these development charges have been levied after residents have completed residential and commercial buildings. In some cases, the charges were levied 5 years after the buildings had been constructed and were in use, leading residents to term the exercise fraudulent.
The residents are instructed to deposit charges by 15th May, 2025. Charges will increase exponentially, in some cases doubling the original amount, for deposits made after 15th May, 2025.
