Pakistanis among top property buyers in Dubai

Pakistanis emerged as the 5th largest buyers of property in Dubai in 2024, up from the 7th place they had occupied in 2023. In both years, the top spot was occupied by India, with Indians emerging as the top buyers of property in the city.
This development comes in the wake of the sluggish real estate market in Pakistan for the year, attributed in part to the economic situation and in part to the punishing taxation regime introduced by the government. In December 2024, the prominent real estate tycoon Malik Riza, the founder of popular Bahria Town societies in Pakistan, also moved to Dubai where he started Bahria Town Dubai.
