The Capital Development Authority (CDA) of Islamabad has issued a formal notice to Bahria Enclave-I housing scheme due to violations of the society’s approved layout plan.
Bahria Enclave-I, a housing scheme located in Zone-IV of Islamabad, was initiated by M/s Bahria Town Pvt. Ltd. in 2011 and was formally approved in December 2020. It is owned by Malik Riaz of Bahria Town fame.
As per CDA, two separate layout plans were found for the housing scheme in its records with significant variations, which has raised questions in itself, as only 1 document should have been present in the CDA’s Regional Planning Directorate’s records.
CDA officials conducted a recent review of the layout plan(s) and found that the scheme, which spans 12,543.11 kanals, was missing 200 kanals of green spaces and parks that were allocated in the layout plan(s). This resulted in the issuance of the notice to Bahria Enclave-I.
